What a start! We had a great time spending the first few months of the year all over Europe with different artists. We also played a few shows as „The Özdemirs“ featuring the fantastic Simon Oslender. For me, some of the dates came with a special challenge in the form of subs on the drums. But there was nothing to worry about: they were fantastic.
The great Darryl Cigaar of Dordrecht, NL was joining Simon, Erkan and me for 2 shows in february, blessing us not only with his tight groove, but silky yet raw vocals as well!
Stepping on the throne for a few of the Tad Robinson dates in march was norwegian percussionist/drummer Martin Winstad.
Finally we played 4 dates in April that I was very excited about. A mini-tour including our return to Saint-Andre and Grande-Synthe, France. On the drumset this time was cologne based Hendrik Smock, setting rock solid foundations with a great creative aproach.
Im excited to get back together with the original Özdemirs, but at the same time feel blessed about having such great artists in my universe.
