1. Lenzen, Brandenburg
An exciting opportunity arose earlier this year when our friend Anna asked us to join her for a performance for Lukini e.V., a local non-profit concert host in the small town of Lenzen, Brandenburg. Making music with Anna has always remained pure passion-project, so it was fun to bring it to the stage (a first)! We played two wonderful Sets to a nice crowd by a beautiful river. That show was embedded in a few super chill off-days by the local lake.
2. Poretta Soul Festival
From there we headed south to Poretta Terme in Tuscany, Italy to be part of one of the most legendary festivals in soul music. Poretta Soul Festival! We started off our time in Poretta with a jam on Wendsday night and played a show with Mississippi Soulman Johnny Rawls on Thursday night.
3. Bilbao Blues Festival
After Poretta we went straight to Bilbao, Spain to hang with our friends and guitar royalty Shawn Pittman, Anson Funderburgh and Mike Morgan! They blew everyone away with their „Texas Blues Guitar Summit“ on Friday night. I had the honor to join Shawn, Erkan & Levent on Saturday for a show on rhythm-guitar (including the occasional solo). Thanks to everyone involved with life music – behind the scenes and on stage!
